Rinila Haridas (she/her/hers), MPH

Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Rinila Haridas is a Indian-born settler and public and global health professional living on the stolen lands of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation, colloquially known as Ottawa, Ontario. At The HER Network, Rinila leads the organization’s overall strategy, operations, and long-term vision. She is responsible for overseeing business development, event and program planning, internal administrative duties and guiding the platform’s growth. With a strong background in health sciences and public health, Rinila brings lived experience and strategic insight to empower emerging professionals through mentorship, workshops, and equity-focused programming.

Abita Venkatesh (she/her/hers), MPH

Co-Founder, Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Abita is a Canadian-born settler who was born and raised on the traditional lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nations. She is a graduate of the Master of Public Health program at the University of British Columbia. She is responsible for the direction of The HER Network's programs and operations, as well as the overall strategy and growth of the organization in order to encourage and empower young women professionals entering the public and global health industry. With a background in public health and health research, Abita looks forward to using her background and education to facilitate community, guidance, and mentorship to those within the field.

Ayesha Lalani (she/her/hers), BSc.

Director of Marketing (DoM)

Ayesha Lalani is a Canadian-born, Kenya-raised settler living on the unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver, B.C. She is a current 2nd-year Master of Public Health student at the University of British Columbia. At The HER Network, she oversees all aspects of the company’s marketing initiatives, managing online engagement, driving marketing campaigns, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all media platforms. She leads the creative direction, including design elements, to align with business objectives and enhance brand visibility.

Tiffany Chiu (she/her/hers), MPH

Director of Relations, Partnerships and Outreach (DoR)

Tiffany is a Canadian-born settler living on the unceded lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, colonially known as Vancouver, B.C. She graduated with a Master of Public Health from the University of British Columbia in 2025. At The HER Network, Tiffany is responsible for building and maintaining respectful, reciprocal relationships with key institutions, non-profits, and organizations across Canada to support our mission of empowering emerging women professionals in public and global health sectors.
